The Transit Cargo has arrived at Cumberland Ford. Ford have redesigned the blue oval commercial hero from the ground up, with one philosophy in mind, build a van that doesn’t feel like your driving a van.

Cab-Chassis to Carry Anything.

The ability to carry almost anything would be a Sydney trades-person ideal vehcile. Featuring two cab-chassis variants to carry the entire team and a lot of gear between job sites, expect to see plenty of Transit Cargo cab-chassis traveling the Sydney streets. Including the three-seater 470E Single Cab Chassis  and the seven-seat 470E Double Cab Chassis with a payload capacity of 2500kg. Both have dual rear wheels and have the longest wheelbases in the range at 3954mm.

More Space Than Ever Before.

Offering a large variety of space the Transit Cargo includes three Van variants, the Transit 350L LWB has had its load length increased by 6mm at 3494mm, load width is up by 44mm to 1784mm, while load height for the mid-roof has been increased by 141mm to 1786mm and in the high-roof it is up by 140mm and has a maximum payload capacity of 1295kg. The 350E Jumbo Van adds a higher roof and a capacity of 1122kg. Above this is the 470E Jumbo Van, which brings dual rear wheels, has a capacity of 1946kg and standard high roof. The vans’ swing doors open a full 270 degrees.

Well Ford believe that enough is enough! The Transit Cargo encompasses car-like features which make Sydney’s busy traffic almost enjoyable; These include idle-stop function to keep fuel costs down, daytime running lights, power folding mirrors, heated driver and passenger seats, air conditioning, power front windows, cruise control, 3.5-inch display screen, Ford SYNC2 system with Emergency Assistance, digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity and USB port.

Keep those hands on the wheel and eyes on the road at all times please drivers. Ford have even made it easy for you; Introducing SYNC, the only option for any business that operates from the road. By simply using your voice, dial any contact in your phone book and place a call to either their home, mobile or office and yes this feature actually works. if you do need to dial a number, the control panel is designed to resemble a mobile phone to keep your eyes where they should be for as long as possible.
